Det har väl knappats undgått något Beyoncé-fan att hon släppte sitt femte album "Beyoncé" i mitten av december. Ingen förannonsering, inga reklam- eller PR-kampanjer, "bara" 14 nyinspelade låtar och 17 (!!!) musikvideos ur tomma intet - BAM!
Så vad an detta? Beyoncé säger följande om varför hon valt att göra albumet på det här sättet:
"I see music. It's more than just what I hear. When I'm connected to something I immidiately see a visual, or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they are all connected to the music. And I think it's one of the reasons why I wanted to do a visual album. I wanted people to hear the songs with the story that is in my head, because this is what makes it mine. That vision in my brain is what I wanted people to experience."
